Luxembourg's banks hired more than 200 extra employees last year, according to data from the country's central bank.

However, compared to the third quarter, the number of bank employees decreased by 65 people.

The Banque centrale du Luxembourg (BCL) found banks employed in the Grand Duchy 26,317 people as of 31 December 2018.

Of the total, 14,444 were men, and 11,873 women.
