Luc Frieden is the former Minister of Finance of Luxembourg and is the current Chairman of the Luxembourg Chamber of Commerce.  Working with Elvinger Hoss Luxembourg, Mr. Frieden focuses on providing legal and strategic advice to companies and organizations with European and global interests. His areas of practice include Luxembourg and European law issues, including the consequences of the Brexit referendum, mergers and acquisitions, banking and finance as well as regulatory and compliance matters. Luc has published numerous articles on legal, political and European issues. He is the co-author of the book 'Europa 5.0' (Campus Verlag 2016) on economic growth in Europe.

Andrew is a partner in PwC's Strategy & Business, providing thought leadership and C-suite strategy advice on sustainable finance and risk transformation for clients in financial services and the public sector.  Andrew is an economist with deep macro- and micro-analytical skills, underpinned by 25 years of experience in economic / financial policy-making at national and EU levels.  As Vice President and one of the nine members of the Management Committee of the European Investment Bank between 2016 and 2020, Andrew repositioned the Bank as the "EU Climate Bank" and a pioneer among international financial institutions in green financing.


In September 2020 he was nominated as one of two candidates to be Ireland's European Commissioner (for the Financial Services Portfolio).  As Chief Economic Adviser to the Taoiseach (Prime Minister) of Ireland between 2011 and 2016, he worked with the political and administrative leadership of Ireland in designing, implementing and communicating the economic and financial policies that helped to restore the Irish economy to growth, following the 2008-10 banking and fiscal crises.

Matt is a Corporate Finance Partner at PwC in Luxembourg specializing in financial services and entrepreneurial businesses.  He leads the Firm's Insurance Industry, is Advisory Deputy Leader and is a member of the Firm's Financial Services Committee and Clients & Markets Board and is responsible for Luxembourg's Brexit Taskforce.  Working in London, New York, Dublin and Luxembourg, he has close to 25 years’ experience in undertaking transactions, both as lead advisor and as principal/investor. 


He joined PwC in 2014 having previously been CEO of one of Europe's largest high net worth wealth structuring businesses with some $30Bn of assets which he prepared for sale to a leading global private equity house.  His experience includes fundraising, M&A lead advisory, valuation, due diligence and strategic restructuring of enterprises. He focuses on middle market transactions for international and global businesses covering strategy, M&A and divestments. 


Matt graduated from the National University of Wales with a BSc. (Econ) (Hons), subsequently qualifying as a Chartered Accountant (ACA, ICAEW) with a Big 4 firm in London.  An investment banker in New York, he qualified as a Broker/Dealer (United States National Association of Broker Dealers).
