Christmas at The Luxembourg House

Join us as we celebrate Christmas at The Luxembourg House. Once the home of Irving Berlin – the composer of “White Christmas” and “God Bless America” – the House is now home to the LACC and will be a beautiful place to sing Christmas carols, listen to festive music, and dine on traditional fare this holiday season. Come along and celebrate with Glühwein, Luxembourg wines, Crémant and a delicious meal.

Back by popular demand!! We will be joined by opera singer Mr. Aaron Theno. Aaron is a New Yorker, a Luxembourg citizen, and a member of the LACC. We will enjoy a short performance.  You won’t want to miss it! Please see Aaron's full bio below.

Aaron Theno is the CMO and Chief Aromatherapist for Bioesse Technologies and Breatherapy, a company that promotes health and wellbeing through their patented inhalation patches for essential oil aromatherapy.  He has also been a Luxembourg citizen for around 7 years after the family discovered their heritage and were able to complete Luxembourg’s citizenship reclamation program.

Aaron is also a versatile singer and performer, acclaimed for his work in both modern and traditional operatic works.  Opera News called him “Impressive as Stan.  His act 1 aria was a highlight.” for his role in Big Jim and the Small Time Investors and the Oregonian labeled him “a musical singer who established his character through incisive tone and diction” in his portrayal of Collatinus for Portland Opera’s The Rape of Lucretia. He has been seen as Le Commisaire in Philip Glass' opera Orphée, with Glimmerglass Opera while a member of their Young American Artists Program, and created the role of Michaelis in The Secret Agent with the Center for Contemporary Opera

A lover of concert work, Mr. Theno has collaborated with Ricky Ian Gordon, singing selections of Mr. Gordon’s work, with the composer at the piano.

He received his Bachelor of Music degree in voice performance from The University of Michigan, and his Master of Music degree in voice performance from The Manhattan School of Music.
